States Round 1 - Halloween Edition

Plenty of upsets already around Group 3 and 4 today.  Both #2 seeds LOSE.  Our next opponent, #5 Hightstown survived in OT.  Nice 5-1 victory today ladies.  Here's today's Halloween edition photo gallery.  Hope you all have a sense of humor...........................

Jackson Memorial - 10/28/11

Part one of our Jackson weekend doubleheader was a success today with a 1-0 victory.  Part two on Monday @ 2:00PM vs. Jackson Liberty.

2011 State Brackets Are Out!

Freehold Boro Gets the #4 seed in Central Jersey Group 3.

First game will be against the #13 seed, Jackson Liberty, on 10/31.  Boro the home team.

FREEHOLD 1, ST. ROSE 1 (Freehold wins 4-3 on PKs): Junior goaltender Sara Cobb stopped a pair of shots in penalty kicks, leading the Colonials (11-3) to 4-3 advantage on penalty kicks and, in turn, the tournament win over the Purple Roses (10-4-1).
Hayley Rice made the clinching penalty kick on Freehold’s fifth attempt and Cobb saved St. Rose’s final penalty kick for the victory. Cobb finished with five saves and St. Rose’s Alyssa Ciano made seven saves.
Freehold took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute on a goal by Meghan Holtz. St. Rose tied it at 1-1 when Katelyn Kraft scored in the 49th minute.
