FAVORITE: Northern Highlands coach Tara Madigan dislikes the focus brought on a single player on her squad, preferring the attention be spread among the team itself. Good thing for Madigan: she has seven returning starters from last year's Group 3 state championship team, and they all understand what it takes to build a winner. Northern Highlands, which has won twice in the last three years now, is slowly building a powerhouse and it doesn't look like the end is near. The offense filters through senior center mid Madison Holleran (29 goals, 13 assists in 2011), while the defense, which lost three of its outstanding flat-back four wall to graduation, will be rebuilt with the help of senior and throw-in extraordinaire Jackie Reyneke.
