Post-Season Details

With the win earlier this week Boro has now qualified for both the Shore Conference Tournament (SCT) and the NJSIAA State tournament.  These tournaments are run quite differently.

SCT

• All Shore teams with a .500 or better record are included.
• Teams are seeded by a meeting of select coaches on 10/15.
• Game dates can change for a variety of reasons.
• Games usually start at 3:00PM, sometimes earlier.
• Home field advantage for first 3 rounds, after that all games at Neptune.
• If tied, 2 10-minute golden goal overtimes, after that PK's.

SCT Tournament Dates:
First Round        10/17.   Rain date 10/18.
Second Round    10/19.   Rain Date 10/20.
Quarters               10/22.   Rain Date 10/23.
Semis                    10/24.    Rain Date 10/25.
Finals                    10/27.   Rain Date 10/29.

NJSIAA

• Seeding and entry are based on a teams first 13 games only.  Teams with a .500 or better record are included as well as some lesser teams needed to fill out the bracket.
• Teams are seeded via a complex power points system.  The better schedule you played gets you more points.
• Boro would play against only Group 3 teams.
• Home field advantage through Sectional finals (1st 4 rounds).  Neutral field after that.
• Games usually start at 2:00PM, sometimes earlier.
• If tied, 2 10-minute golden goal overtimes, after that PK's.

NJSIAA Tournament Dates:
First Round        10/30.   Rain date 10/31.
Second Round    11/2.     Rain Date 11/3.
Third Round       11/6.     Rain Date 11/7.
Sectional Final   11/9.     Rain Date 11/10.

State Semis         11/13.  Rain Date 11/14.
State Finals         11/17.
