Lindsay Cerio scored the game winning goal to help lift Freehold Borough to a 1-0 shutout victory over Howell in Howell. Cerio's goal came in the second half after a hand ball resulted in a
free penalty kick. Cerio was able to capitalize on the kick, putting the
ball in the back of the net as the team was able to hold off Howell
from finding the equalizer. Goalkeeper Jordan Cerio made eight saves in
net to help preserve the shutout, while Sarah Borrelli made seven saves
in net for Howell.
